We would love to repair and restore every historic building in Falkirk town centre, however, it simply isn’t possible. Therefore, in order to make best use of the available funds, we had to determine what buildings should be prioritised for grant funding.
Together with our funders we identified certain ‘Priority Projects’, which were chosen due to their architectural significance, level of need and/or their prominence within the town centre. These buildings have been given first refusal of money pre-allocated towards their repair. The remaining unallocated funds were made available to other property owners within the THI area who wished to carry out building repairs or improve their shop frontages.
