2014 is the Bicentenary of our town Steeple. This project is an opportunity for local schools to have fun learning about Falkirk Steeple – when it was built, how is has been used and why it is an important building in the town. Primary 6 or 7 pupils will work with artist Susheila Jamieson investigating the history to the Steeple through artwork. The pupils will create artwork that represents the Steeple in the past and explore the importance and role the building has played in the town. Find out what the schools have been doing on the project blog and have a look at the photo gallery.
The completed artwork will be displayed in Falkirk town centre as part of the Steeple Bicentenary Celebrations in September 2014.
A digital display of the finished artwork will also be displayed on this website.
