Like many towns across Scotland Falkirk has changed over the years. Many Falkirk Bairns remember buildings, streets and shops that have since disappeared. Our current exhibition ‘Lost Falkirk’ explores some of the lost buildings and spaces of Falkirk town centre that are gone but not forgotten.
The exhibition focuses on four themes: Old Industry; Social Life, Tracing Old Tracks and Lost Buildings. ‘Lost Falkirk’ gives visitors a flavour of the buildings, local names and streets that have disappeared or changed over the years. We are not attempting to tell the whole, just highlight some of the hidden stories.
The exhibition is open until Saturday 4th November 10am-4pm Monday to Saturday.
We would like to thank Elizabeth Boyle, Ian Scott and the Mathieson Family for their support in creating this exhibition.
Please be advised that Volunteer Stewards man the exhibition. Occasionally the exhibition may be closed if our volunteers are unavailable. We apologise for any inconvenience caused if this occurs.
